New Delhi: Controversial BJP leader Subramanian Swamy, a Rajya Sabha MP and former Union Cabinet minister, has now trained his gun on India's chief economic adviser Arvind Subramanian, according to media reports on Wednesday.
He has asked that Arvind Subramanian be sacked as the latter is not working in Indias interests,
However, the BJP has said Swamys views on Arvind Subramanian is his personal opinion and not that of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), media reported.
NDTV reported that BJP National Secretary Shrikant Sharma has said that the party doesnt concur with his opinion and these are purely his personal views. .
Prior to this, Subramanian Swamy had made a target of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) governor Raghuram Rajan, who was the earlier Economic Adviser and into whose shoes Arvind Subramanian stepped into.
According to a section of the media, Arvind Subramanian could be the next RBI chief.
In a series of tweets, Swamy, a Harvard-educated economist, vented his ire at Arvind Subramanian. Modis chief economic adviser Arvind Subramanian had opposed India on IPR till recently.
