Mumbai: Student registration has been closed and Quota Admission for Colleges has begun. The School Education and Sports Department, Govt of Maharashtra has rescheduled the release of the General Merit List of the students of Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) who have registered for admission to First Year Junior College (FYJC) for July 04, 2017.
A total of 2.51 lakh students had registered for FYJC Admission 2017 using the Option Form 1. Out of them 2.36 lakh students completed the Option Form II and 2.35 lakh students verified their documents, according to the date provided by MMR Education Department.
According to the FYJC revised schedule, he General Merit List will be out on July 04.
After the release of General Merit List on July 04, online correction, if any, can be done between 11am to 04:00 pm on July 05, 2017.
The First Merit List will be released on July 10. Payment of full fees to confirm admission will be done between July 11-13. The time to do is from morning 10 to 05 in the evening.
Declaration of Cut offs and statud of vacant seats after first round will be done on July 14 at 05:00 pm.
If a student wants to change stream for Second Merit List, she or he can do that between July 15-18.
The released schedule further says that the Second Merit List will be released online on July 20, Third Merit List will be out on July 29 and Fourth Merit List will be published on August 06, 2017.
The education department has not announced the exact timing of the release of the FYJC General Merit List 2017. It is however expected that it will be released any time before 05:00 pm today i.e. Friday June 30, 2017.
The FYJC Admission authorities under the School Education and Sports Department had earlier announced that it will conduct four rounds of admission process once every week between June 15 to July 15, 2017.
If seats remain vacant, three additional rounds of admission will be held once every two weeks up to September 1.
A ‘zero round’ will be conducted for online admissions to the Higher Secondary Vocational Course (HSVC) and quota seats – religious or linguistic minority, in-house and management. If seats remain vacant, they will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis.
Around 30% seats in online admissions will be reserved for girl students from poor backgrounds.

The FYJC online admission process in Mumbai and Pune regions started after the 2017 SSC results were declared in June second week.
The last date to fill Part 2 Option Form was June 27. But, due to various reasons the process was delayed. Hence, the Education department decided to extend the last date till June 29.
The entire admission process will be done thorugh the special portal launch for the purpose the direct link for which is "mumbai.11thadmission.net" for Mumbai MMR students and through "pune.11thadmission.net" for students in Pune region.
