Online counselling of students who have passed National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2017 will begin from July 03. Registration and choice filling of subjects will start from July 3 and can be done online till 5 pm on July 11.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) decalred the NEET 2017 results on Friday. A total of 6,11,539 students from India and abroad including five transgenders have qualified the medical entrance examination which was held on May 7. Of them, 2,66,221 are male whereas 3,45,313 are females.

In a statement issued after declaring the NEET 2017 results, the CBSE said, "The counselling would be conducted by the respective Counselling Authorities subject to prevailing rules and norms for admission in Medical Colleges/Dental Colleges under their ambit.".

"Candidates are advised to be in touch with the respective Counselling Authorities and Institutions concerned for fu rther details", it added.

The CBSE further said that details and schedule of counselling would be made available on the websites of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education Directorates of States.

However according to sources, counselling of students will be deone from July 3 to July 11 and seat allotments will be done in two days i.e. on July 13 and 14. Results of CBSE NEET 2017 counselling Round 1 will be released on July 15.

Students will be required to report at their Medical/Dental colleges within seven days from July 16 to July 22, up to 5 pm.

Round 02 of counselling will be done from August 01 to August 04, 2017. Registration will remain open till 5 pm on the last date. Seat allotments for Round 02 will be done from August 5 to 7, 2017. Results of Round 02 of CBSE NEET counselling will be declared on August 8, 2017.

Students will be required to report at the allotted Medical and Dental college for Round 02 from August 09 to August 16, 2017.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of India will conduct the counselling for 15% All India Quota seats as it was done earlier. Candidates may visit website www.mcc.nic.in for further information regarding cut off marks, etc.

"For State quota and other seats falling under the ambit of States, candidates may apply to their domicile states and a merit list as per State rules and based on All India Rank will be prepared by concerned counselling authorities", CBSE said.

The CBSE had conducted the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test NEET-UG-2017 on 7th May, 2017 from 10.00 am to 01.00 pm in offline mode across the country. The online exams were held on May 9.

The exams, conducted in 10 languages at 1921 Exam Centres in 103 cities, were held for UG admissions to 95,000 seats - 65,000 MBBS and 25,000 BDS, in all Government Medical Colleges, Private Medical Colleges and Deemed Universities across the country.

A total of 11, 38,890 students had registered for this examination including 1522 NRIs, 480 OCIs, 70 PIOs and 613 Foreigners.
