Kolkata: The Class 10 Madhyamik Pariksha, also known as Secondary Examination (SE) will start on March 12, 2018 and continue till March 21, 2018, according to the Time Table released by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) on its website.
The Class 10 Madhyamik Pariksha, Secondary Examination 2018 - both regular and external, will be held in only one paper on each day.
The timing of the paper will be from 11:45 am to 03:00 pm. First 15 minutes will be for reading the questions papers, West Bengal Board of Secondary Education said in a statment signed by its President Kalyanmoy Ganguly.

March 12: First languages (Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Modern Tibetan, Nepali, Odio, Gurmukhi (Punjabi), Telugu, Urdu and Santali)
March 13: Second languages (English--if any language other than English is offered as First Language. Bengali or Nepali -- if English is the First Language)
March 14: Geography
March 16: History
March 17: Physical Science
March 19: Mathematics
March 20: Life Science
March 21: Optional elective subject
"Examination is shirthand and typewriting will be held at Kolkata and Siliguri only.
"Examination in Sewing and Needle Work will be of four hours whereas examination in Music Vocal and Music Instrument will be of two hours duration and will be held at Kolkata, Burdwan and North Bengal regions only.
"The venue and date will be announced later", the board said.
"The Computer Application theory exam will be of two and half hours duration. Practical exam of Computer Application will be taken by individual schools", the board said.
In 2016, The West Bengal Board Secondary Examination SE Class 10 Madhyamik Pariksha 2017 were conducted from February 22 and concluded on March 03. The results were declared on May 27, 2017.
The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education was established through the West Bengal Secondary Education Act, 1950, though it started functioning only around the year 1951.
The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education is entrusted with responsibilities such as providing the curriculum for affiliated schools, monitoring the implementation of education policies and conducting yearly West Bengal Board Madhyamik Examination.
Each year around 10 lakh plus students take the West Bengal Board Madhyamik Examination, this year 11 lakh plus students are awaiting their WB BOARD 10TH RESULT 2017.
