New Delhi: The anxiety of students who are waiting for the date sheet of Class 12 and Class 10 February/March 2019 exams seems to be over as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) sources said the Date Sheet, also known as Time Table, will be published in the next few days.
Reports citing unnamed CBSE officials claimed that the date sheet of 2019 Class X and XII exams will be released by the end of this month or a maximum by the first week of January, 2019.
Some reports have also claimed that the Class 10 and Class 12 Date Sheet of the 2019 board exams can be released in the next week, though the CBSE in itself is yet to make any official announcement,
In the backdrop of these media reports, students should be relaxed that the time has finally come when they will have the 2019 Time Table or Datesheet of Class 10 and Class 12 exame in the next few days.
Last year the CBSE 2018 10th and 12th date sheet was released on January 10. Both the exams started on March 05 in 2018. However, while Class XII CBSE March 2018 exam ended on April 12, CBSE Class X 2018 exam continued till April 04, 2018. The CBSE Class XII 2018 results were announced on 26th May whereas CBSE Class X results were declared on 29th May, 2018.
Owing to the fact that 2019 General Elections will be held in the month of April next year, it is expected that the 2019 CBSE Board exams may be preponed by at least a week. However, the final call will be taken only by the CBSE and till it released the 2019 Date Sheets of Class 10 and Class 12 exams, all these things remain mere speculations.
The CBSE had earlier called for registration of private students who wished to appear for Class 1o and 12 March 2019 board exams. The CBSE had also asked the schools to send details of regular students appearing for the 2019 board exams.
Regrading question papers, the CBSE said, "Candidates will be provided question papers in the same medium as filled in the Form. Meaning thereby, if a candidate is opting English as a medium, he will be supplied QP in only English language. If a student opting Hindi as medium, he will be supplied bilingual QP i.e. in Hindi & English. Candidates are therefore requested to fill the correct medium of Question Paper and correct option only to avoid last minute problem. Medium will not be changed later on."
Regarding Exam Centers, the CBSE said, "For the CBSE Class 12th 2019 Examination, controlling region for the candidate will be decided by the online system based on the current residential address entered by the applicant. For example: if candidate has appeared in Class XII main examination from Varanasi (under Regional Office Allahabad) and is now filling the address of Jaipur, which is under Regional Office, Ajmer, the examination centre will be allotted under the jurisdiction of Regional Office, Ajmer. However, eligibility for appearing in the examination will be decided by the Regional Office Allahabad."
