AHSEC Higher Secondary Result 2018 : Amar Singh Thapa, a student of Abdul Hasib HS School, Hojai has topped the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) HS Final Class 12 Science stream exam. He scored a total of 486 marks out of 500. His score is also 2nd best in the state.
Abdul Hasib HS School, Hojai was established in 1946 and it is managed by the Department of Education. The school consists of Grades from 6 to 12 running in government building. Medium of instructions in this school is Assamese.
Scoring 483 marks Niharika Goswami of Krishna Kanta Handiqui Junior College, Barpeta came 2nd whereas the 3rd rank is shared by Bhaskar Jyoti Kalita of Krishna Kanta Handiqui Junior College, Barpeta and Mrinal Jyoti Powdel of Darrang College, Sonitpur. Both of these students have bagged 480 marks in AHSEC HS 12th Science stream exam 2018.
Raunak Loha of Geetanjali Junior College, Nagaon bagged first position in HS Final Commerce stream by scoring 474 marks. Dikshita Baruah of Salt Brook Academy, Dibrugarh came 2nd with 471 marks and the 3rd rank in Commerce went to Sweeta Das of Gyan Vigyan Academy, Dibrugarh. She scored 464 marks.
On the other hand, scoring 487 marks out of the total 500, Sampriti Rajkhowa of Ramanunaj Junior College Nagaon has topped the Arts stream of Assam 12th HS Final 2018 exams result of which is declared today morning. Tridip Bora of Concept Jnuior College Nagaon scored 485 marks and came 2nd whereas Bhanita Roy of Krishna Kanta Handiqui Juniro College Barpeta bagged 484 marks and came 3rd.
As many as 1,45,281 students out of the total 1,94,533 who appeared for the exam have been declared passed in Arts stream, marking a pass percentage of 74.68. A total of 19,470 students secured 1st division, 45,751 students got 2nd and 80,060 students secured the 3rd division.
The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) declared online the result of HS Final Class 12th Examination 2018 on its official website today on Thursday May 31.
This year, over 03 lakh students had registered for the examination that was conducted from February 23 to March 22, 2018 at various centres across the state of Assam.
In 2017, AHSEC HS Final Class 12th result was declared on May 30. About 2.5 lakh students had appeared for the 2017 AHSEC HS Final Class 12th examination. Out of them a total of 1,94,069 students had appeared in the Arts stream while 37,350 in Science and 17,894 students in Commerce stream.
The Assam Secondary Education Act, 1961 (Assam Act, XXV of 1961) was passed to provide for the establishment of a Board of Secondary Education to regulate, supervise and develop Secondary Education in the State of Assam.
