JEE Advanced 2019: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee on Friday in a single line message posted on its website announced that the JEE Advanced 2019 will be held on May 19, 2019.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee further said that the detailed notification for JEE Advanced 2019 will be released soon.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee is the examination authority to conduct the JEE Advanced 2019. The important exam is held for admission to IITs and other prime institutions of engineering.
The IIT-R said, like the previous year, the JEE Advanced 2019 will also be held only in online mode.
"The JEE (Advanced) 2019 will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2019. The entire JEE (Advanced) 2019 Examination will be conducted in fully computer based test mode", IIT R said.
"More information will be updated soon", it said.
Through JEE (Advanced), IITs offer admission into undergraduate courses leading to a Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s or Bachelor-Master Dual Degree in Engineering, Sciences or Architecture. Both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are awarded to candidates enrolled in the dual degree programs upon successful completion of the course curriculum.
In some of the IITs, students enrolled into the 4-year Bachelor’s program have the option to pursue B.Tech. (Honors) and/or B.Tech. with Minors. Dual Degree students may also pursue a Minor. Further, in some IITs B. Tech. students also have the option to pursue Interdisciplinary Dual Degree, with Bachelors in parent Department and Masters in some other Department.
Meanwhile, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the date and shift of JEE Main 1 to be held in the month of January 2019. The government has decided from this year to conduct JEE Main twice a year.
JEE Main is the qualifying exam to appear in JEE Advanced 2019.
