CBSE 12th Result 2019: Among 83.04% of over 13 lakh students who passed the CBSE Class 12th 2019 examination are also sons of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Union Minister Smriti Irani.
While Pulkit Arvind Kejriwal ended with 96.4% in the 12th CBSE board 2019 exax, Zohr, the son of Smriti Irani bagged a total of 91% - as per CBSE best of four calculation.
"Ok saying it out loud— proud of my son Zohr..not only did he come back with a bronze medal from the World Kempo Championship also scored well in 12 th boards. Best of 4– 91% .. special yahoo for 94% in economics. Maaf karna, today I’m just a gloating Mom", Irani wrote soon after the CBSE declared 12th result 2019 today afternoon.
Arvind Kejriwal on the other hand did not say anything on his son's result. Instead, he congratulated all the students from Delhi who cleared the important exam.
"Congratulations parents, students and teachers. Congrats Delhi. Its a matter of pride for Delhi", Arvind Kejriwal wrote replying to Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia's message on Twitter that read, "CBSE Class XII Results :Delhi improves by 2.87% as compared with last year. (2019- 91.87%, 2018-89%). Congratulations to all the teachers, parents and my dear students. You have made me feel proud."
Unlike her husband, Sunita Kejriwal could not stop herself from sharing the news of her son's success in the 12th board exam.
"With God’s grace and well-wishers’ blessings son has secured 96.4 percentile in CBSE Class XII. In high gratitude", she wrote.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared on its official website cbseresults.nic.in the Class 12th (Class XIIth) Result 2018 today on Thursday May 02, 2019. The overall pass percentage of CBSE Class 12 this year is 83.40 - nearly a notch 0.3 percentage point increase than 2018 which was 83.01%.
Girls did better than the boys with a pass percentage of 88.70 per cent against boys' 79.40 per cent, CBSE officials said.
Hansika Shukla, Karishma Arora are joint toppers of CBSE 12th 2019 exam. Both of them have scored 499 out of the total 500 marks. Hansika Shukla is from DPS merut Road Ghaziabad and Karishma Arora is from SD Public School of Ghaziabad.
Hanshika Shukla has secured 99 marks in English and 100 in other subjects including History, Political Science, Psychology and Hindustani vocal subject.
Gaurangi Chawla of Nirmal Ashram School, Rishikesh Aishwarya of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Rai Bareilly and Bhavya of BR SK International Public School Jind Haryana have scored 498 out of 500 and bagged 2nd position.
Neeraj JindalParth Saini, Ananya Goel and Mehak Talwar from Delhi are among 18 students to rank third in the exam. They all scored 497/500 marks.
The result is declared in record 28 days.
A total of 94,299 students secured 90 per cent marks in Class 12 examination. The Kendriya Vidyalaya schools have performed better with 98.54 per cent success rate and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas with 96.62 per cent.
Among districts, the top performing region is Trivandrum with a pass percentage of 98.2% followed by the Chennai region scoring the pass percentage is 92.93% and Delhi with 91.87%. Foreign Schools registered a pass percentage of 95.4% in CBSE XIIth 2019 exam.
More than 13 lakh students from all across India and abroad appeared for the CBSE 12th exam that ended on April 04, 2019. The CBSE surprised the students by announcing the result about 25 days in advance. In 2018, CBSE 12th result was declared on May 26, 2018.
