Moradabad Lok Sabha Election Result 2019, Latest Trends: Congress had fielded Urdu poet Imran Pratapgarhi in Moradabad with much fanfare. He however lost the election by 589,700 votes.
According to the Election Commission data updated at 08:30 pm, Imran Pratapgarhi polled just 59,117 votes as against Dr S T Hasan of Samajwadi Party (SP) who won the election in Moradabad Lok Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh securing 648,817 votes.
Kunwar Sarvesh of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) came 2nd position with 549,729 votes.

Latest trends at 02:30 pm here showed that Imran Pratapgarhi has polled just 17,812 votes as against Dr S T Hasan of Samajwadi Party (SP) who is leading in Moradabad Lok Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh securing 171,528 votes.
Kunwar Sarvesh of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is trailing at 2nd position with 122,344 votes.

06:15 am Counting of votes for the Moradabad Lok Sabha seat which went to poll in the 3rd phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, also known as Parliamentary Elections or General Elections, will start at 08:00 am today i.e. Thursday May 23, according to the Election Commission of India.
Counting of Electronically Transmitted Postal Ballot System (ETPBS) and Postal Ballots will be taken up first. Later on votes stored in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) will be counted.
Counting personnel will then randomly select five EVMs from each Assembly segments for matching with VVPAT slips as directed by the Supreme Court.
The final election results are likely to be declared by late in the evening Thursday or early morning Friday. The trends however will start coming by 08:30 to 08:45 am.
The process for 2019 Parliamentary election, also known as Lok Sabha Chunav, started with first Phase of polling on April 11, 2019. Polling for the 7th and last phase of 2019 general elections was held on May 12, 2019. Polling percentage in the 7th Phase was a little more than 60%.
Lok Sabha, the lower house of Indian Parliament has a total of 545 members. Of them 543 are elected while 02 members are nominated by the President of India. Polling for the 2019 elections was held for 542 seats.
Polling across 91 Lok Sabha seats spread over 18 states and 02 Union Territories in the 1st Phase of the 07 phase Lok Sabha elections were hel on April 11. Highest voting percentage was recorded in Tripura (81.8 per cent) followed by West Bengal (81 per cent), the Election Commission officials said.
Bihar recorded lowest voting percentage with 50 per cent voters turning out followed by 56 per cent voting in Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh.
70.67 per cent voting was recorded in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, 66 per cent in Andhra Pradesh, 60 per cent in Telangana, 57.85 per cent in Uttarakhand, 58 per cent in Jammu and Kashmir, 69 per cent in Sikkim, 60 per cent in Mizoram, 78 per cent in Nagaland, 78.2 per cent in Manipur and 68 per cent in Assam.
Uttar Pradesh recorded 63.69 per cent while in Lakshdweep, 66 per cent voters exercised their franchise and Meghalaya recorded 67.16 polling.
A turnout of 66 per cent was recorded in 95 Lok Sabha constituencies across 12 states and a Union Territory on April 18 in the 2nd phase of polling.
The 3rd phase of Lok Sabha polls saw a voter turnout of 66 per cent compared to 69.03 per cent in 2014 with some states such as Odisha and Goa recording lower turnouts and a few others like Bihar witnessing a higher participation. The 3rd phase election took place on 117 constituencies spread across 13 states and two union territories.
The 4th phase of polling on April 29 in 72 parliamentary constituencies spread across 09 states saw a voter trunout of 64%. West Bengal again recorded the highest turnout of about 76%.
Over 62 per cent voters exercised their franchise on May 06 in the 5th phase of Lok Sabha elections in 51 constituencies, with voting percentage marginally higher than 61.75 per cent recorded in 2014 parliamentary elections.
The constituencies were spread across seven states. The 5th phase was the smallest of seven-phase elections to elect a new Lok Sabha. The polling percentage was higher compared to 2014 in Hindi heartland of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
The 6th phase of Lok Sabha elections, covering 59 seats across 07 states, on May 12 saw a voter turnout of 63.3 per cent which was less than 65.67 per cent recorded in 2014 for the same seats. The voter turnout was higher in Bihar and Madhya Pradesh and almost the same in Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand. Delhi recorded a voter turnout of 60.21 per cent which is less than the 65.1 per cent in 2014.
