Hyderabad: Even as India is leaving no stone unturned to contain and minimise the impact of novel coronavirus, foreign nationals who are part of Tablighi Jamaat reportedly scattered whole of Telanagan adding to the fear of general public.
Telangana has so far recorded 21 Coronavirus positive cases - of them are 10 Indonesians who were part of Tabilghi Jamaat and were staying in Karimnagar town.
These Indonesians came to Telanagana from New Delhi travelling Sampark Kranthi Express. Local media reported that these Indonesians arrived in New Delhi on February 22, 2020.
After staying for few days in Delhi, they took the train to Karimnagar, about 170 km from Hyderabad to attend the 'Tableeghi Ijtema’.
Besides these Indonesians, some foreign nationals from South East Asia, Central Asia and UK too are in the state. According to the latest Coronavirus updates, some UK nationals too are tested Coronavirus positive.
All those detected Coronavirus positive have been shifted Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad.
Coronavirus link with Tablighi Jamaat hit the international media last week when 40 Malaysians were found infected by the disease when they attended the 4-day Tablighi Ijtema held at Masjid Jamek Sri Petaling.
About 16000 people were present at the Ijtema held from Feb 28 to March 1, 2020.
