Arif Masood appointed convenor of MPCC’s Minorities Deptt.

Wednesday, February 24, 2010 05:58:33 PM, Pervez Bari, ummid.com

 Arif Masood

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee, (MPCC), spokesman Arif Masood, an energetic Congress leader, has been appointed convenor of the Minorities Department of the MPCC.

The appointment of Arif Masood has been made by Imran Qidwai, president of Minorities Department of All India Congress Committee, (AICC). Anees Durrani, secretary of AICC Minorities Department, in a letter to this effect to MPCC president Suresh Pachauri has expressed confidence that Masood would make concerted efforts to strengthen Congress party among the minorities.

Several of Masood’s supporters and his well-wishers have congratulated him on his appointment as convenor of Minorities Department of the MPCC.

It may be mentioned here that the Minorities Department of the MPCC has been in the doldrums since long. There are hardly any activities under the banner of the Minorities Department even though Adv. Haji Mohammad Haroon is its president.
