Commando found dead in Ashok Singhal’s house
Tuesday, May 11, 2010 04:34:58 PM, IANS
Lucknow: An Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) commando, deployed as part of security provided to Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) international president Ashok Singhal, was Tuesday found dead at the latter’s residence in Uttar Pradesh’s Allahabad district, police said.
Ram Pal, 30, was found dead on the fourth floor of Singhal’s residence in Tagore town, some 200 km from Lucknow.
“We are yet to ascertain the exact reason behind the commando’s death. The post-mortem report is awaited,” Deputy Superintendent of Police S.D. Shukla told reporters in Allahabad.
While no injury marks were found on Pal’s body, froth was seen coming out of his mouth.
“We have informed senior ITBP officials in New Delhi about the commando’s death and have asked them to provide more information about Pal that would help us investigate the case,” said Shukla.
