Aligarh: Department of
Paediatrics, J.N. Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University
organized the annual Baby Show. The participating babies were judged
under various age groups such as from 0 to 6 months, 6 months to one
ear and one year to three years.
In the age group from 0 to 6 months, Mohammad Talha was judged first
while Baby Meena Khan and Afia Khan were selected for second and
third prizes respectively. Mohammad Umar and M. Akbar were given the
consolation prize.
Manha Zafar, Aman Ahmad Iraqi and Fatima Nashrah were given first,
second and third prize respectively under the age group of 6 months
to one year, while Simra and Sajid were selected for consolation
prizes. Similarly, M. Hannan, Faiza and Amish were given the first,
second and third prizes in the age group of one year to three years
and Mohammad Ayan and Ayesha were given the consolation prize.
Former Principal of Women’s College, Prof. Zakia Athar Siddiqui was
the chief guest while officiating Vice Chancellor, Prof. S. Abrar
Hasan, Chairman, Department of Physiology, Prof. D.K. Agrawal and
former Chairman of Department of Paediatrics, Prof. Azra A. Iraqi
gave away the prizes to the winners.
Earlier, while welcoming the guests, the Chairman, Department of
Paediatrics, Prof. S. Manazir Ali said that the objective behind
organizing the Baby Show is to create awareness about the issues
related to maternal and child health care, child growth and
immunization.
