“I have always prayed to Allah for the well-being of my children and to protect them from the sufferings I had gone through”, said Ab Haque reacting on his son, Qaiser’s success in the IAS mains exams held in 2006. With elation seemingly pouring out almost from his whole body, especially his eyes glittering with joy, he said this success is the result of his prayers.

In the first ever one-o-one interview after the results, Qaiser spoke in length exclusively with ummid.com about his success mantra. Qaiser who ranked 32 in the exams said, “I was always best in my studies and in extra curricular activities and even bagged the best actor award in a drama competition and won the first prize in an elocution competition”.

In reply to a question Qaiser said that when he failed in getting admission in medical and engineering degree courses he decide to appear for UPSC exams. But it was not an easy-ride; he failed in first and second attempts and after failing even in third attempt he had almost decided to give up. “But the forceful insistence by my elder brother to try for one more time changed my mind”, said a beaming Qaiser pointing towards his brother seated next to him.

"Always be honest, especially with your own self, it is this lesson that I learnt from one of my teachers always helped me in anlysing myself, tracking my mistakes and finally tasting the fruits of the success."

Replying how he felt when he first came to know the results he said, “Although I was very sure about my success this time, for a fraction of a second it was hard to believe.” After repeated confirmations when he finally shared the historic success with his family, they jumped in joy and tears started rolling down his parents’ cheeks and the historic event, for Malegaonians as well, became as delightful as for his family.

Crediting his family for the success Qaiser said, “The credit for this goes especially to my father who struggled really hard to bring us to this place.” Notably his father has concentrated on the studies of all his children likewise and today while Qaiser has passed out the IAS mains exams and other brothers well educated and on respectable posts, his younger sister has completed B. D. S. from Mumbai University.

And after this historic success, apart from ranking 32 in all-India list, ranking second in Maharashtra this is the first time in the history of Malegaon when a Malegaonian has reached to this height., Qaiser is now gearing up for two years official training program that will start from September at Masoori in Uttranchal. Till that time Qaiser has enough time for the celebrations and to acknowledge the greetings from the people, thronging his residence ever since the news of his historic success has appeared in the media.
