New Delhi: Jamia Millia Islamia’s B. Tech. (Civil Engineering) student Vikram Pant has secured All India Rank 04 in the GATE Examination 2010. Vikram has stood 4th among 19406 candidates who appeared in the GATE exam. Nafees Khan, a passed out student of B. Tech. (Civil Engineering) of the university has secured All India Rank 34 in the same examination.
B. Tech. (Civil Engineering) student Vikram Pant (Registration Number: CE 3100220) has secured All India Rank 04 while passed out student of B. Tech. (Civil Engineering), Nafees Khan (Registration No. CE 3069167) succeeded in securing All India Rank 34.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board - GATE, Department of Higher Education, Union Ministry of Human Resource Development.
The GATE committee, which comprises of representatives from the administering institutes, is the sole authority for regulating the examination and declaring the results. GATE is conducted through the constitution of eight zones.
