UPSC Exams: 2,015 candidates to appear at Pondicherry centre

Pondicherry: As many as 2,015 candidates will appear for the All India Civil Service (Preliminary) examination here tomorrow.
According to official sources, the UPSC has selected Pondicherry as one of the centers to conduct the examination which would be held both in the forenoon and afternoon session at five centers here.
The Pondicherry administration has made elaborate arrangements for the smooth and error-free conduct of the examination.
Special secretary to the government G Thevaneethi Das has been made the coordinating supervisor. Joint Managing Director of Pondicherry Textile Corporation S D Sundaresan will be assistant coordinating supervisor and Principal Secretary to the government B Vijayan will be the observer.
The commission has also deputed N P S Rawat, Deputy secretary, UPSC as an observer here.
An information counter would be set up at the new bus stand and special buses would be deputed at the examination centers tomorrow from 0700 to 0830 hrs, the sources added.
