Lucknow/Ayodhya:
Contrary to the general perception that only Muslims are
dissatisfied with the Ayodhya verdict, the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha (ABHM) today expressed dissatisfaction over the verdict and declared to
challenge it before the apex court.
It
plans to move to the apex court by the end of this month or early
next month.
"We will file an appeal against the
High Court order in the apex court by the end of this month," PTI
quoted ABHM state president Kamlesh Tiwari as saying in Lucknow
today.
He said that the Mahasabha was firm on its stand not to allow
division of the land in three parts.
"It would be better if the entire land is given to Ramlala,"
Tiwari said.
He said that the Mahasabha was ready for a mutual discussion only
on one condition that the Sunni Central Waqf Board withdraws its
claim from the land.
'No out of court
solution'
With the Nirmohi Akhara agreeing to
explore possibilities of an amicable solution to the Ram
Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute, the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha
has decided to distance itself from the Akhara.
"I was scheduled to meet the Mahant of Nirmohi Akhara Bhaskar Das
on Saturday morning, but cancelled that programme as it has joined
the talks for an out-of-court settlement of the dispute," Kamlesh
Tiwari said.
"We are of the view the entire site belongs to the Hindu community
and we will not accept any division of their land," he added.
The ABHM had earlier announced its support to the Akhara and filed
a joint appeal in the apex court.
"We will file an appeal in the apex court for complete ownership
of the disputed land in Ayodhya to Nirmohi Akhara. The Mahasabha
will also plead that the Akhara should be given the right to
perform puja at the makeshift temple," Tiwari had said.
The statement came after a delegation of the ABHM had met the
Mahant of Nirmohi Akhara Bhaskar Das and had a detailed discussion
with him.
"If required we will file a joint appeal with the Akhara," Tiwari
had said.
Sunni Central Waqf Board has already
decided to appeal the verdict in the Supreme Court.
