Benghazi: The chairman of Libya's Transitional
National Council said Wednesday that a Benghazi businessman has
offered $1.3-million bounty for information leading to the capture
of Muammar Gaddafi.
Mustafa Abdel Jalil said that besides the reward of two million
Libyan dinar ($1.3 million) from the unnamed businessman, an
amnesty will also be offered to anyone who kills or captures
Gaddafi, according to the al-Arabiya TV.
The Transitional National Council in Benghazi is the political
body that represents the rebel movement that overthrew Gaddafi's
41-year-old rule.
After five months of fighting, rebels Tuesday stormed Gaddafi's
large compound in Tripoli but he has yet to be located.
Over 400 people were reportedly killed and at least 2,000 injured
in the three-day fighting to seize control of Tripoli.
