Dr Mehnaz of AMU receives best paper award

Aligarh: Dr. Saira Mehnaz working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Medicine, J.N. Medical College, AMU, Aligarh has been awarded 'The P.L. Sharma Best Paper Award' in the 38th National Annual Conference of Indian Association Preventive and Social Medicine held at MKCG Medical College Berhampur, Orissa.

The title of her paper was “Comparing existing maternal health practices in two urban slums of Aligarh”.

After screening of the all research papers submitted for the award, 12 papers were shortlisted by the panel of experts to select the best paper.

She carried out the study in pregnant and lactating women of two underserved areas of Nabi Nagar and Mahfooz Nagar of Aligarh.

The theme of the IAPSM conference was Global Partnership for Health Development.
