London:
The brutal slaughter of four goats in a British village is being
termed a "satanic ritual" after one was found foaming at the mouth
with a swollen belly while another's head was found twisted
backwards.
The animals were found dead within a few days of each other in
Tipton St. John village in Devon.
The goats were found either with their head twisted or with their
throats cut, the Daily Mail reported.
Jimmy Small, 66, whose two goats were killed, said: "I recognise
it could have something to do with the occult. One of my goats was
left dead foaming at the mouth with a swollen belly. The other I
found dying and crying with its head twisted backwards."
"This has horrified locals. What sort of people could do this?" he
asked.
Another unnamed goat owner said: "When I told my vet he advised me
to read a book on occult. He seems to think the way the goats were
killed and because they were horned, it may have something to do
with a satanic ritual."
Police said they were investigating the killings.
