Ranchi:
Syed Ahmad took charge as Jharkhand's eighth governor
Sunday. He was administered the oath of office by Acting Chief
Justice of Jharkhand High Court Prakash Tatia at Raj Bhavan.
Ahmad replaces M.O.H. Farook who has been appointed the governor
of Kerela.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Arjun
Munda, union Tourism Minister Subodh Kant Sahay and others.
"The rich human resources and mines of Jharkhand should be
exploited for development of the state," said Ahmad while talking
to reporters.
