Lucknow: Samajwadi
Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav Saturday said that neither
the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) nor the Congress would get a
majority in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls and the third front parties
would be able to muster the numbers for a government.
"In the current scenario and emerging equations, neither the BJP
nor Congress will get a majority and the third front parties will
get major successes in many states," said Mulayam Singh,
addressing party workers here.
Exhorting the workers and supporters to ensure that the party won
60 of the 80 Lok Sabha seats in the state, he said the Akhilesh
Yadav government was working for the welfare of the people and
they should fan out across the state and tell the people about the
welfare schemes initiated by it.
The Samajwadi Party supremo also cautioned workers and party
leaders not to be indifferent to the plight of the people.
"Rather than taking interest in transfers and postings, getting
hooters fitted atop your cars and throwing your weight around, you
should watch your action as they have a bearing on the state
government," he said.
