11 shot dead at Karachi rally

Islamabad: Unidentified armed men opened fire at a political rally in the
Pakistani port city of Karachi, killing at least 11 people and
injuring more than 30, a media report said.
Violence erupted when the "Mohabbat Sindh" rally, organised by the
Awami Tehreek party and the People's Amn Committee, reached the
old city area, Geo News reported.
A reporter and a cameraman of a private news channel were among
the injured.
Several shops and vehicles were set ablaze by the attackers.
Senior police official Shaukat Ali told Geo News that a search
operation has been launched in the areas through which the rally
passed.
A deceased woman was identified as Ghazala Batool, an employee of
Pakistan International Airlines.
