Kids banned for dirty school dress: Bihar orders probe

Tuesday November 06, 2012 11:09:36 PM, IANS

Patna: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi Tuesday ordered an inquiry into the complaint of a rickshaw-puller that his two minor children were stopped from attending a government-run school due to allegedly dirty uniform.

Joyti Kumari, a Class 1 student, and Akash Kumar, a Class 3 student, of Harchak middle school in Anishabad in Patna were directed not to attend school after they came to school in allegedly dirty uniform last week, the complaint said.

"I have asked the district education officer to inquire into the complaint of two children by their father," Modi told reporters here.
