10 killed in fire at Kolkata market

Kolkata: At least 10 people were killed in a major fire that broke out at a multi-story market complex here Wednesday, police said.

The fire broke out early Wednesday morning at the market at central Kolkata. Twenty-two fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the flame.

Fire brigade personnel are carrying out rescue operations as many people are feared trapped inside the market, which houses shops and paper go-downs.
