Two-year-old sexually assaulted by neighbour in Delhi

New Delhi: A two-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a 23-year-old neighbour inside her house, police said Sunday. The man has been arrested.

The incident was reported from Adarsh Nagar area in north Delhi and occurred when the child was alone at home Saturday evening.

A neighbour, who chanced upon the crime, raised an alarm following which the accused fled.

The girl was taken to hospital where the assault was confirmed.

Police said accused Shiva, a labourer, was arrested from his house Sunday morning.
