At least 29 people were killed and 30 injured when a freight train crashed into a number of vehicles near the Egyptian capital of Cairo in the early hours of Monday, a media report said.

The train was on its way from Beni Suef to Giza when it hit a minibus, a truck and some other vehicles near the town of Dahshur, about 40 km south of Cairo, reported Xinhua citing official newspaper Al Ahram.
