Bengaluru: The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has declared online the results of the Senior School Leaving Certificate (Karnataka SSLC) 2018, also known as Pre University and Class 10 exams, on its official website.
According to the Karnataka board, the overall pass percentage of KSEEB SSLC 2018 is 71.93 per cent. An improvement has been recorded this year as compared to the last year with an increased 4.06 per cent. The pass percentage of girls stands at 78.01 per cent and that for boys it is 66.56 per cent.
There are two toppers this year with 100 per cent marks (625 /625). Eight students have scored 624/625 and 12 students have obtained 623/625.
The Karnataka SSLC 2018 results are announced at 11:15 am on Monday May 07, 2018 on the official website karresults.nic.in as well as on the number of other websites.

- Enter your Registration No.
- Click on Submit
- Your results should appear on the screen. Take a printout for future use

The Karnataka Class 10th 2018 board exams began on March 23, 2018 with First Language (Kannada/Telugu/ Hindi/Marathi/Tamil/Urdu/English/Sanskrit) paper and ended on April 06, 2018 with Social Science paper. This year, 51 students have been debarred and 2.73% of the registered students were absent in the Karnataka SSLC exam.
According to the state Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait the exams were conducted smoothly across 2,817 examination centres in the state. The minister also said, starting next year, a separate examination board will conduct the SSLC and second PU exams.
The Karnataka board had declared Karnataka PUC 2018 results at 11:30 am on April 30, 2018. On the other hand, the Karnataka SSLC Results were declared in 2017 at 03:00 pm on May 12.
In 2017, the overall pass percentage of Karnataka SSLC exams 2017 was 67.87 %. Out of the total 8.5 lakh candidates, who appeared to the exam, 5.8 lakh candidates had cleared the exam held in March 2017.
Three students Sumanth Hegde of MES Kishore Kendra, Bengaluru, Poornananda of Saint Joachim High School, Puttur and Pallavi Shiragatti of SRA Composite Junior College, Bagalkot had scored 625/625 marks in the 2017 exams.
Likewise, over 8.5 lakh students had appeared for the Kerala SSLC 2016 exam and the state had recorded a pass percentage of 79.16%. Ranjan S was Karnataka SSLC State Topper in 2016.
The board had also ventured to conduct the supplementary examination for the failed candidates of the examination of March in June month of every year itself; this will enable the students who would be successful in the June examination to join higher education courses in the same academic year from July itself. This process was introduced first time in the country.
