New Delhi: A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi denied intrusion by China, former Congress President and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi accused the former of surrendering to Chinese aggression.
"PM has surrendered Indian territory to Chinese aggression", Rahul Gandhi wrote on Twitter Saturday morning.
Addressing an all party meet Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi while ruling out any intrusion by China also said "not and inch of the India territory is taken by China".
"The Prime Minister clarified that neither is anyone inside our territory nor are any of our posts captured. He said that 20 of our brave soldiers made the supreme sacrifice for the nation in Ladakh but also taught a lesson to those who had dared to look towards our motherland. The nation will forever remember their valour and sacrifice," government sources said.
Sources said Modi assured the leaders from opposition parties and his allies "we are capable and nobody can take even an inch of our land."
In his tweet, Rahul Gandhi tagged the snapshot of PM Modi's quote made during the all party meeting and posed two questions.
"If the land was Chinese: 1. Why were our soldiers killed? 2. Where were they killed?" he wrote.

The Congress party and Rahul Gandhi are questioning Modi government's handling of Ladakh crisis ever since it surfaced in May.
In her speech during the all party meet, Congress President Sonia Gandhi had asked Prime Minister Modi to assure the country that the Indian territories now under Chinese control will be taken back.
"The question is, 'What next? What is the way forward?' The entire country would like an assurance that status quo ante would be restored and China will revert back to the original position on the Line of Actual Control,"Sonia Gandhi said during the all party meeting Friday.
