Madhya Pradesh Culture Minister Laxmikant Sharma was decorated with Sanskriti Bhushan Samman while Journo Shahroz Afridi with Samwadshri
Samman amongst others by Akhil Bharatiya Bhasha Sahitya Sammelan at
a function here on Sunday. At the regional convention of the
institution, litterateurs and art critics were also honoured.
On this occasion, Dr. Moolaram Joshi and Dr. Suryaprakash Chaturvedi
were decorated with Saraswati Samman. Dr. Ram Krishna Saraf, Dr.
Sharad Pagare, Dr. B Maria Kumar were given Bharat Bhasha Bhushan
Samman while Dr. Chandra Prakash Verma Shreshth Sadhana Samman was
bestowed upon Dr. Veerendra Singh and Kamalkant Saxena. Ramesh
Chandra Khare was decorated with Sahityashri Samman while Pramod
Ramawat, Rakesh Verma Hairat, Dr. Angela Anand and Mrs. Manju Jain
were honoured with Samanwayshri Samman. Sahityasevi Samman was
bestowed upon Ashok Chandra Dubey and Manoj Jain Madhur.
The Akhil Bharatiya Bhasha Sahitya Sammelan has started the
tradition of giving away Samwadshri Sammans to culture reporters and
critics from this year. The awards have gone to Vinay Upadhyaya,
Shahroz Afridi, Deepak Pagare, Basant Sakargaye, Ravindra Swapnil
Prajapati, Ramprakash Agrawal, Ms Rakhi Jhanwar and Ms Asha Singh.
Speaking on the occasion, Culture Minister Sharma said that
litterateurs are men of deeds who are discharging their
responsibility of awakening the society through their creative
works. The Madhya Pradesh Government is constantly working for
protection of arts and litterateurs. The budget of Department of
Culture has been increased considerably. It is the endeavour of the
state government that promotion of arts and littérateurs is not
hampered by fund crunch. He said that Public Relations Department
has also started an award for art critic. Culture reporter is also
an art critic.
President of Akhil Bharatiya Bhasha Sahitya Sammelan Moolaram Joshi
lauded the works of Madhya Pradesh Government in the spheres of
literature and culture. At the conclusion, citations, certificates
and shawls and “shriphals” (coconuts) were distributed.
