“If our education system lacks perfection, excellence and merit,
real
and meaningful
development would remain a dream”, said
Prof Mazharuddin Farooqui.
Prof Mazhar, the Director of the Professional Training Centre for
Urdu Teachers run by Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU),
Hyderabad was addressing the opening session of the ten-day training
program for Madrasa teachers on January 12.
“Don’t dump knowledge in the minds of students. Help them acquire
quality education so that they become a good and perfect human
being”, Prof Mazhar who was presiding the opening session said and
urged the teachers to utilize their every minute to transfer quality
education to the students they teach.
According to the University official Abid Abdul Wasay, Madrasa
teachers from various states including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra
Pradesh, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh and Kashmir are participating in the
ten-day training program organized by MANUU at Jamia Ishatul Uloom,
Akkalkuwa in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra.
Inaugurating the opening session, the Founder of Jamia Ishatul Uloom
Akkalkuwa and Renowned Muslim Aalim, Maulana Ghulam Mohd Wastanwi
said, “The program has been organised to help the Madrasa teachers
get the needed professional training and equip them with the
techniques that a teacher in any modern educational institution
normally has.”
The Patron of Jamia Ishatul Uloom, Akkalkuwa, Maulana Abdullah
Kaapudarwi while stating that acquiring knowledge of every field is
the need of the hour, urged the teachers to gain the expertise,
skill and knowledge of each and every field that can be used for the
well-being of a human being.
“The motive behind getting education should be to help the humanity.
The onus is now on the teachers to train their students with this
motive”, he said.
Prof Mahmood Siddiquee, Principal - College of Education Urdu
University Bhopal who was also present during the opening session
elaborated in details various activities of the Maulana Azad
National Urdu University (MANUU) Hyderabad and the Professional
Training Centre for Urdu Teachers and activities of the other
centres run by MANUU.
