BJP to hold minority conference in Bihar next month

Thursday, July 01, 2010 10:35:10 AM, PTI

New Delhi: The BJP will hold a minority conference in poll-bound Bihar next month in an apparent bid to reach out to Muslims.

"BJP's Minority Morcha will hold a minority conference at the Sri Krishna Memorial Hall in Patna on July 14 where issues related to the Muslim community will be discussed," BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said.

The conference will be attended by Bihar unit leaders and leaders from the state who are now part of BJP's Central unit, he said.

Hussain, who is MP from Bhagalpur in Bihar, will be the key speaker and organiser of the event.

"All that is being done for the minorities in BJP-ruled states will also be discussed and the Bihar unit will be apprised of these facts," he said.
