CBI to close case of missing Babri Masjid files

Lucknow: District and Sessions Judge Virendra Kumar today fixed July 13 as the next date of hearing for the Babri Masjid demolition case.

Two of the accused Ramesh Pratap Singh and O P Pandey were not present in the court when the next date was fixed. Some of the accused had appealed for relief against appearance.

Meanwhile, the Court said if the two accused Singh and Pandey do not appear on the next hearing, their bail would be quashed.

As reported, 49 people were named as accused, out of whom four had died, 26 were relieved by the Supreme Court, and the rest 19 were still facing the trial.
