Jamia Millia Professor nominated to IEEE Board 2012

New Delhi: Prof. Mini Shaji Thomas, Professor of Electrical Engineering, Jamia Millia
Islamia has been nominated to serve as the Chair of EAB Section
Outreach Committee in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineering (IEEE). By virtue of this appointment, she will become
a Member of the IEEE-Educational Activities Board.
Prof. Thomas has served as the Vice-Chair of the Member and
Geographic Activities Board (MGAB) of IEEE for 2010 & 2011. Prof.
Thomas has won IEEE MGA Innovation Award 2008, IEEE Power & Energy
Delhi Chapter Outstanding Power Engineer Award 2008, IEEE R10
Outstanding Volunteer Award 2005 and IEEE Outstanding Branch
Counselor award 2002 to name a few of the recognitions from IEEE.
IEEE is the world’s largest professional association dedicated to
advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit
of society.
IEEE and its members inspire a global community through IEEE’s
highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and
professional and educational activities. IEEE has more than
