Lucknow:
Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav has been nominated
visitor of Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar University, Rampur, state cabinet minister and founder of
the university Azam Khan said Wednesday.
Khan had written a letter to Mulayam Singh Yadav requesting
him to accept the post of visitor which he did happily.
In response to this Mulayam Singh
Yadav while accepting the proposal, wrote that it is his
privilege to be associated with Jauhar University.
The university was inaugurated on September 18, 2012 by the chief minister in the
presence of Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and
several other ministers at Rampur, some 350 km from Lucknow.
The chief minister had assured everyone that his government would do
all that was possible for the university.
Lauding Azam Khan, the Samajwadi party supremo said his struggle
for noble causes will always be an example for the young
generation.
The university has been established as a private university and is governed by Mohammad Ali Jauhar Trust. It is spread over
200 acres and houses several buildings.
