Malegaon: Noted scholar, General Secretary of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), former Dy Speaker of Bihar Assembly, one of the senior members of Raabta Aalam-e-Islami and architect of Rehmani 30, Syed Mohammad Wali Rehmani has been invited by Oxford University to address an education conference.

 

"The Oxford has invited Maulana Syed Mohammad Wali Rehmani to address the six-day conference on education", Mohammad Imtiyaz Rehmani, his close aid, said while talking to ummid.com on phone.

 

"The conference will be held in the first week of March", he added.

 

"The Maulana has been requested to share his experience in the filed of education with the delegates coming from different parts of world", he said.

 

The conference organised with a focus on challenges and solutions for the new generation in the field of education will be attended by top academicians and scholars from different countries.

 

Maulana Syed Mohammad Wali Rehmani is globally acclaimed thinker and scholar. He is regarded as spiritual leader for thousands world-over. His efforts for the empowerment of Muslims in India are well-known.

 

Architect of Rehmani 30 - a project started for the educational empowerment of the downtrodden, the Maulana is instrumental for sending more than 100 Muslim students from financially poor background to the prestigious IITs.

 

The Indian government recently amended some sections of the Right to Education (RTE) Act after the Maulana convincingly expressed serious concerns over the impact they might have in the longer run.  

 

In recognition to his efforts in the field of education, Colombo University had two months back conferred doctorate on him.
