India-Palestine friendly might shift to Delhi

Saturday January 12, 2013 07:51:17 PM, IANS

New Delhi: Due to a bad-pitch in Guwahati, the international football friendly between India and Palestine slated for Feb 6 may be shifted to the national capital.

"The pitch at the Nehru Stadium is in a bad shape. We are looking at other options but in all probability it would take place in Delhi," an All India Football Federation (AIFF) official told IANS, Saturday.

The friendly slated for Feb 6, a FIFA match date, will help India garner ranking points. Palestine are ranked 152 while India 166 in FIFA rankings.
