Case against eatery for martyrs' names on napkins

Lucknow:
A case was filed against an eatery here Wednesday for allegedly
demeaning the Kakori martyrs and the Indian national anthem,
police said.
The eatery, Kakori House in Nazibabad area of Aminabad, had got
the names of some Kakori martyrs and the national anthem, Jana
Gana Mana, printed on napkins.
As news spread about the napkins, locals and lawyers staged a
demonstration Wednesday.
"An angry mob came to Qaiserbagh Kotwali police station with some
of the napkins," police said.
"We pacified them and lodged a case against the owners, staff and
management of Kakori restaurant," police said.
The case was registered on the complaint of Avneesh Dixit, a
lawyer. "This is something outrageous and under no circumstances
will we allow this. The people behind this should be punished,"
Dixit said.
The Kakori martyrs were five men who were sentenced to death after
they robbed a train carrying cash belonging to the then British
government in 1925. The most famous of them, Chandra Shekhar Azad,
shot himself in Allahabad after being surrounded by British
soldiers.
