Dubai:
A group of Saudi students in the United States have launched a
campaign to publicize Prophet Mohammed in seven cities across the
country, Al Arabiya reported quoting Al Sharq newspaper.
The campaign, “Mohammed, the prophet of mercy” was established in
February marking the prophet’s day of birth, it said.
This is the group’s second campaign. In its first campaign, the
students took to 50 U.S. states and distributed 40,000 roses along
with various messages of peace and love.
According to Al Sharq newspaper, February’s event was a success
encouraging the advocates to share their message again this March.
A private page on Facebook has been created so members around the
world can share videos, images and messages.
In October 2012, a similar campaign in Dubai called “The True
Message of the Prophet” offered roses with a message of “peace and
good manners” inspired by the sayings of the prophet Mohammed.
The event was part of a global campaign organized by young Muslims
and coordinated on the social media websites Facebook and Twitter.
