Malegaon: The elections for Dhule and Ahmednagar municipal corporations will be held on December 15. Moreover, Dhule, Nandurbar and Aklola Zillah Parishad, Panchayat Samiti and Grampanchayat elections of Dhule district will be held on December 01, Maharashtra State Election Commissioner Neela Satyanarayana announced Wednesday.
Counting of votes for the Dhule and Ahmednagar corporations will be done on December 16 whereas counting of votes for the Zillah Parishad elections will be held on December 02. Results will be announced on the same day, she said.
Besides these elections, by-elections for Latur and Sholapur corporations will also be held on December 15, she added.
Election code of conduct in election bound areas has been enforced from Wednesday midnight.
Aspiring candidates can file nomination papers from November 19. The last date for filing nominations paper will be November 26. The next day scrutiny of all papers will be done and election symbols will be allotted on November 30.
