CBSE Class 12 and Class 10 exams to begin from March 01, 2016

The 2016 Class 12 and Class 10 exams will begin from March 01, the Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) officially announced on its website Sunday.

The exams for Class 10 will continue till March 28 and that for Class 12 will end on April 22.

As per the time table and CBSE Date Sheet released by the CBSE, English, both core and elective, will mark the beginning of the exams for Class 12 i.e. Standard XII students, those in Class 10 will be facing the exam on Dynamic Retail, Information Technology, Security, Auto Technology and International Tourism.

The examination for the main subjects for Standard X or Class 10 candidates will begin on March 2, with Science, theory and practical, examination.

All papers for both the exams will begin at 10:30 am.

The Class 12 and Class 10 exams are important landmarks in the career of a student., Last year, a total of 10,40,368 students had appeared for Class 12examination whereas a total of 13,73,853 students for Class 10. The exams in 2015 began from March 02 and ended on April 17.

The CBSE is the apex body responsible for conduting various exams held in India. Besides, Class 12 and Class 10 exams, the CBSE also conducts exams such as UGC-NET, CTET, JEE and others competative entrance exams for admission to different engineeing, medical and other professional courses.
