447 crack National Defence Academy and Naval Academy 2016 Exam - I: UPSC

A total of 447 cadidates from all across the country cracked the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) 2016 Examination - I, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) said while declaring the results Monday.

The UPSC also released the complete list of the 447 candidates in order of their merit on its official website.

The candidates have qualified National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) 2016 Examination - I on the basis of the results of the Written Examination held by the Union Public Service Commission on 17th April, 2016 and the subsequent Interviews held by the Services Selection Board, of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of National Defence Academy for the 137th Course and Naval Academy for the 99th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 2nd January 2017.

"The final selection of candidates will be based on merit position obtained in the second stage CBT and/or result of aptitude test/ typing skill test wherever applicable. The normalisation of marks will be done as per extant rules", the UPSC said.

"The results of Medical Examination have not been taken into account in preparing these lists", it added.

:The candidature of all the candidates is provisional, subject to their submitting the requisite certificates in support of date of birth and educational qualifications etc. claimed by them directly to the Additional Directorate General of Recruiting, Adjutant General’s Branch, Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Army)", the UPSC said.
