#BJPSeBaccheBachao trends on Twitter after fresh deaths of children in Gorakhpur hospital

In an embarrassment for the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Uttar Pradesh, hashtag #BJPSeBaccheBachao started trending on Twitter soon after fresh deaths of children at Baba Raghav Das Medical College Hospital in Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's constituency Gorakhpur.

Worst, the hashtag has received thousands of sarcastic comments critical of the BJP governments - both in Uttar Pradesh and New Delhi, and the number is adding up with every passing second.

"@narendramodi government has lost all values for life. 61children die in 3 days. The ever tweeting #PM is on a mute mode. #BJPSeBaccheBachao", Akil Antony‏ tweeted using Twitter handler @imAkil92.

Gurpreet singh Rinku who uses Twitter handler @rinkukurali says, "When people vote for cows , statues and mandirs. This is what happens. Learn a lesson atleast now or repent in future...#BJPSeBaccheBachao."

NEETU active on social networking site Twitter using handler @iNEETUSAROJ, said, #BJPSeBaccheBachao kya ye @BJP4India ka population control krne ka nya tarika hai?"

The twitter is abuzz with hashtag #BJPSeBaccheBachao which translates "Save Children from the BJP" after reports came that 42 more children died at at Baba Raghav Das Medical College Hospital in Gorakhpur.

According to reports, 07 children have died due to encephalitis while varying reasons have been reported behind the death of other infants.

The former principal of college Rajiv Mishra and his wife were arrested on Tuesday for questioning in connection with the deaths of over 60 children.

They had gone underground with their phone switched off after the case was registered against them.

Encephalitis is a sudden onset inflammation of the brain.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s Lok Sabha constituency of Gorakhpur has seen at least 114 deaths due to Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) this year alone.

AES is an umbrella classification under which comes the diseases Japanese Encephalitis (JE), water-borne encephalitis and scrub typhus, among others. As an MP, Yogi Adityanath had actively raised the issue, according to Indian Express.

The hospital has a special ward for patients of encephalitis. The children who died were admitted in three wards at the hospital.
