UGC NET Nov 2017 Answer Key

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release online the OMR Sheet of the candidates who appeared for the UGC NET November 2017 exams along with the official Answer Keys in the first week of January 2018.

"The captured images of response sheets (OMR sheets) of the candidates appeared in NET November, 2017 and answer keys of all the papers will be displayed on the website www.cbsenet.nic.in during first week of January, 2018", the CBSE Information Bulletin for UGC NET November 2017 says.

"The exact dates will be notified later in the newspapers", it adds.

"The candidates, who are not satisfied with the captured response, may challenge by filling online application form on the website www.cbsenet.nic.in and paying a sum of Rs.1000/- per question.

"The challenge of Answer Keys will also be accepted online only through the link available on the website www.cbsenet.nic.in on payment of Rs.1000/- per question", the CBSE says.

The fee can be paid by Credit/Debit card.

"In case the challenge of any candidate regarding captured images of response sheets (OMR sheets) /Answer Keys is accepted, the fee will be refunded to such candidates", the CBSE says.

"In all other cases the fee once paid will not be refunded. The CBSE’s decision on the challenges shall be final and the result will be declared on the basis of final answer keys", it says.

Once released, candidates will be able to access the OMR Sheet and Answer Keys on the official website: "CBSE UGC NET Official Website"

Steps to download UGC NET Nov 2017 OMR Sheet/Answer Key

  • Go to CBSE UGC NET official website by clicking here: www.cbsenet.nic.in.
  • Check for the tab marked with 'Download OMR Sheet' or Answer Key
  • Login using Reg/Roll no and Password if required
  • The OMR Sheet/Answer Keys should appear on screen

The CBSE UGC NET for all three papers were held on Sunday November 05, 2017. It was conducted in 84 subjects in 90 cities across the country. According to examination schedule, the UGC NET November 2017 had 03 papers/sessions. While the first and second papers was of 100 marks each, the third paper was of 150 marks.

The First paper had 60 questions (50 questions to be attempted). It was held from 09:30 am to 10:45 am.

The Second paper had 50 questions (all are compulsory). It was held from 11:15 am to 12:30 pm.

The Third paper had a total of 75 questions (all are compulsory). It was held from 02:00 pm to 04:30 pm on Sunday November 05, 2017.

The CBSE conducts UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) two times in a year to determine the eligibility of candidates for the posts assistant professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

Candidates who qualify for the JRF are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible to apply for the post of an assistant professor in Indian universities and colleges.

The award of JRF and eligibility for assistant professor’s post depends on the performance of the candidate in all the three papers of NET. However, candidates qualifying exclusively for an assistant professor are not considered for JRF.

Candidates who have scored at least 55% in their master’s degree are eligible for NET.
