Ahmedabad: Leading brand Havmor Ice Cream on Thursday launched India's costliest ice cream dessert at Huber & Holly, the manufacturer's flagship ice-cream cafe in Ahmedabad.
The "Might Midas" claimed to be the country’s most expensive is made with 24-carat gold flakes and is priced at Rs.1000, local media reported.
The Mighty Midas is created with a host of exotic ingredients including fresh gooey brownies, caramelized almonds, nutty praline, rocher balls, hot fudge, Belgian dark chocolate ice cream and hazelnut chocolate.
The toppings of this unique offering include a swirl of golden chocolate ice cream, a raspberry rose sorbet macaroon, a pipette of passion fruit, a caramel chocolate bar, all wrapped with 24-carat gold.
Each of these ingredients is fresh and made in-house through artisanal process. Mighty Midas is available at Huber & Holly in Ahmedabad and will be soon launched in Hyderabad.
Havmor Ice Creams, the Ahmedabad-headquartered company claims to have covered about 70 per cent of the ice-cream consuming population with its presence across 14 states. It is said to be the second largest organised ice-cream manufacturer in India after Amul.
