NEET 2018: 300 Shaheen students including 13 Huffaz eligible for Medical Admissions

Bidar (Karnataka): More than 300 students who cracked the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - UG (NEET 2018) after coaching by Shaheen Group are set to get admissions in different medical colleges of India.

About 1600 Shaheen students had appeared for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - UG NEET 2018 held on May 06, 2018. Of them 1363 students scored more than the minimum marks in NEET 2018 result of which was declared on Monday June 04.

“Out of the total 1363, more than 300 students have got enough marks to get admission in different medical colleges”, Abdul Qadeer, Founder Chairman of Shaheen Group of Institutions, said while talking to ummid.com.

“One of the 300 eligible students is Waheed Abdullah of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. He is a Haafiz-e-Quran and never went to a school. He got free coaching at Shaheen’s Bidar center and scored 579 out of the total 720 marks to secure All India Rank (AIR) 3295”, he added.

Haafiz is a person who has memorized the entire Qur’an. Besides Waheed Abdullah, 12 other students who are Haafiz, who got early education in different Madaris, have also made to the list of the Shaheen students eligible for admission to various medical colleges based on their NEET 2018 score.

Shaheen Group had sent more than 200 students to different medical colleges in 2017, 152 in 2016, 111 in 2015, 93 in 2014, 89 in 2013 and 71 in its first batch in 2012.

Shaheen Group of Institutions was established in 1989 with Shaheen School to provide quality education to students from Urdu medium. Started with just 18 students, it now has more than 12,000 students and centers running in different cities of India including Bengaluru, Mysore, Belagavi, Shimoga, Kolar, Gulbarga, Raichur, Bidar, Basavakalyan, Humnabad, Aurad, Chitguppa, Aurangabad, Patna and Lucknow.

NEET 2018 result was declared on Monday June 04. A total 7,12, 635 candidates have qualified from India whereas 342 qualified students are foreigners, 1200 Non Resident Indians (NRIs), 367 OCI and 36 PIO, the CBSE result sheet.

Kalpana Kumari of Bihar, Rohan Purohit of Telangana and Himanshu Sahrma of Delhi have respectively secured All India Rank 1, AIR 2 and AIR 3. AIR 1 Kalpana Kumari scored 691 marks whereas Rohan Purohit and Himanshu Sahrma, who have secured AIR 2 and AIR 3, scored 690 out of the total 720 marks, according to the CBSE result sheet released today.

Others among NEET 2018 Top 10 are Aarosh Dhamija is AIR 4 (686 marks), Prince Choudhary is AIR 5 (686 marks), Varun Muppidi is AIR 6 (685 marks), Agrawal Krishna Ashish is AIR 7 (685 marks), Ankadala Anirudh Babu is AIR 8 (680 marks), Madhvan Gupta AIR 9 (680 marks) whereas Ramneek Kaur Mahal secured AIR 10 (680 marks).

Mohammed Anas Mohammed Yunus Memon and Shabista Khan, two Muslim students, have also found their place among top 50 rank holders. While Mohammed Anas Mohammed Yunus Memon of Gujarat has secured All India Rank (AIR) 26, Shabista Khan, who hails from Madhya Pradesh, bagged the All India Rank (AIR) 29. Both of them have however scored 671 out of the todatl 721 marks.

National Eligibility and Entrance Test or NEET is the one examination which would be considered for filling around 54,000 restorative seats the nation over. This examination is likewise valid for applying to private universities across the country.
