Palo Alto (California): ScaleGrid, a leader in MongoDB hosting and Redis hosting, has announced support for their first SQL database, fully managed MySQL hosting.
The advanced Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) solution allows businesses of all sizes to optimize their MySQL deployments with multi-cloud support, no vendor lock-in, and dedicated servers on leading cloud provider, Microsoft Azure, with support for MySQL on AWS to quickly follow, ScaleGrid said in a blog post.
The MySQL launch by ScaleGrid was also introduced with an early-access opportunity for their next SQL solution, PostgreSQL hosting.
The ScaleGrid platform enables MySQL database administrators (DBA's) to fully automate their operations while still keeping super user admin control over their MySQL clusters and SSH access to their cloud-hosted servers.

Hosting Solutions and Price
ScaleGrid offers two different MySQL hosting solutions, Dedicated Clusters that are all-inclusively hosted and managed through ScaleGrid, and their Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC) plans that allow you to host and manage your MySQL clusters in your own Azure account.
The BYOC plan also includes the ability to leverage Reserved Instances to lower your long-term MySQL hosting costs up to 80%, and access premium security features like Virtual Networks (Azure VNET), and Security Groups for advanced access control.
ScaleGrid's MySQL Dedicated Cluster plan starts at $18 per month, and their BYOC plan is available for as low as $8 per month.
