Backward Federation for quota within quota in Women Reservation Bill

Bangalore: Eight students whose science and engineering projects won recognition at the India Initiative for Research & Innovation in Science (IRIS) competition, have been selected to represent the country in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) to be held in San Jose, California from May 9 to 14.

Over 1500 students from more than 50 countries will participate in the pre-college Science fair organized by Society for Science and the Public (SSP).

 

More than 1200 projects would be presented by students and would be vying for USD 4 million in awards and scholarships, according to a press release here today.

The eight students. including four in the individual category and two each in team category will participate in the ISEF.

 

Intel South Asia, Director (Corporate Affairs) Rahul Bedi said that ''the success of these students reveals their scientific aptitude, research acumen and innovation in the country.

 

The finalists from India demonstrate the capability of this country to cultivate the next generation of innovators, scientists and entrepreneurs.''
