Delhi: As the day for announcement of the verdict of
the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court on the Ayodhya title
suit comes nearer the whole country is on alarm. President All
India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) and MP Lok Sabha Maulana
Badruddin Ajmal appealed to the people to maintain peace and
communal harmony after the verdict is out.
“I have firm belief in the judicial
system of India and I appeal to the people to respect the verdict
of the court”, Maulana Ajmal said.
Expressing his relief on the muted
response to Kalyan Singh's Ayodhya visit by the inhabitants of
Ayodhya Maulana Ajmal said, it is a clear sign that people of
India Hindu and Muslim alike have realized that hatred can not
appear on Indian atmosphere for long. It is the deep-rooted love
and mutual understanding of Indian culture witch always prevail,
He said.
Recalling the dark days following
demolition of Babri Masjid on 6 December 1992 Maulana Ajaml said,
we Indian people suffered much and now it is the time to come back
to our heritage of peace, harmony and mutual respect as they have
been distinguished features of India for thousands of years.
Maulana Ajmal expressed his relief
and thanks for all those who appealed to the people to maintain
peace on announcement of the verdict even if it goes against the
interest of some individuals or parties. Maulana further said, we
condemn all efforts done by some political and semi-political
parties to gain their own goal on the cost of peace, harmony and
lives of people of the country. “We should respect the verdict and
if any party is not satisfied with the judgment it could appeal to
the Upper Court. “No more violence” should be our motto. Maulana
Ajmal said.
