Azharuddin to inaugurate cricket tournament at AMU

Aligarh: Former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin will inaugurate the first North Zone Inter-University Cricket Tournament at the Aligarh Muslim University on Nov 20.

Forty-six teams will be participating in the tournament, which will conclude Dec 9.

A meeting of the Organising Committee, which was presided over by Pro-Vice Chancellor Brigadier (retd) Syed Ahmad Ali, reviewed the arrangements for holding the tournament.

The secretary of the University Games Committee, Tariq Mansoor said that Azharuddin will inaugurate the tournament Nov 20.

Rajiv Shukla, vice president of the Board Of Control For Cricket In India has been invited as the chief guest for the concluding function.
